Venice Carnival: Time to dress up

Venice Carnival: Time to dress up

VENICE CARNIVAL

Carnevale di Venezia (Venice Carnival) is one of the most famous carnivals in the world.

The costumes are beautiful and the Venetian masks even more exceptional.

It is impossible not to stand still every now and then and admire the fine details. The atmosphere is magical .

The glamour of it all will make you feel you lived in a different time period. The event attracts approx. 3 million visitors per year, which makes it one of the largest event in Venice.

The San Marco square is the central location for all the carnival festivities such as the costume parades or the Flight of the Angel.

The incredible scenery is designed and created by La Fenice.

Every day, there is the possibility to take part in the best masked costume competition, which is open for everyone. All participants will parade on the San Marco stage.

On the last day of Carnival, the winner is announced.

Every evening, from 6 PM, you can enjoy live music.

I cannot deny that it can be very hectic and crowded, but if you know where to go and when, you will certainly enjoy your trip.
