This private food tour will take you to visit the best producers of balsamic vinegar, Parma ham and Parmesan cheese in the Emilia Romagna region.
We will discover how milk is processed into this amazing cheese.
We will explore the Parma ham factory and taste the flavors of the ageing rooms.
We will taste Parmigiano Reggiano and Parma ham directly from their producers.
VISIT TO PARMIGIANO-REGGIANO CHEESE FACTORY
Minibus tour from downtown Milan to factories. Visit to Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese factory during the production process followed by a tasting session. After the visit it will be possible to purchase genuine products at the cheese factory retail shop.
VISIT TO A PARMA HAM’S FACTORY
Transfer on the hills of Parma to visit one of the farm where the inimitable Prosciutto di Parma (Parma ham) is produced. On the way we will stop at the foot of the castle of Torrechiara to take some pictures from the outside. Stop at a Parma ham plant followed by tasting and opportunity of purchasing local products at the end of the visit.
VISIT TO A TRADITIONAL BALSAMIC PRODUCER
Lunch in a tipical trattoria. The itinerary will continue in the afternoon. We will visit a traditional Balsamic Vinegar producer in the Reggio Emilia or Modena area. Return to Milan.
